Truth by Tanya Lloyd Kyi

Truth is the story of Jen, a grade twelve student living in a small town in British Columbia. Constantly trying to find ways to fend off her boredom, she attends a party with her boyfriend where a man is beaten to death. With witnesses unwilling to come forward for fear of retaliation, Jen must find a way to tell the truth.

This is a fast-paced story which will appeal to those interested in crime, but are also familiar with the challenges that come with being a high school student. Although some of the references seem dated, all students should be able to relate to the difficulties that Jen faces in getting to the truth.
